Jennifer Potter was born and raised on the sun soaked island of Key West. A fifth- generation conch by birth, Potter was raised in the Meadows in a conch house built by her late grandfather Roy. She spent her childhood running amok on the docks of Charter Boat Row where her parents, JP & Cha-Cha operated a fishing business. When she and her sister, Jessica, weren’t busy choreographing dance routines or selling their creations to tourists and locals alike, she could be found coming up with the next best million dollar idea. Known for her years on the red carpet styling hip-hop artists, her international jewelry brand, and her latest published venture, Color Me Key West.
Potter has traveled the world having lived in London and New York City, creating art through her writing, jewelry and styling, only to return to her beloved hometown where her roots run deep. She loves seeing the familiar faces from her childhood and is constantly inspired and reminded of the sense of community the island provides.
Potter knows the Key West landscape the way only a local would. She knows not only the neighborhoods, but the people that live in them and can give you a history lesson you didn’t know you needed. Potter brings her eye for design and attention to detail in every transaction. She is known throughout the island for her tenacity, creativity, and determination, as well as her involvement in community affairs.
From featuring local businesses and people in her weekly column in the Florida Weekly to running multiple community associations on the island, Potter is widely known throughout town and is honored to call Key West home. When she’s not selling real estate you can find Potter at Snipe’s Key working on her tan with her rescue pups!
